An e-Governance Architecture Using Cloud Computing Technology

Abstract

The use of ICT in e-governance has led to a transparent and accountable government. But with the advancement in the computing world, there is need for new and better technology to be introduced in the e-governance. Cloud computing is widely being used nowadays as it is the new emerging technology and offers many advantages. The cloud computing offers benefits like scalability, elasticity, pay-as-you-go model, etc. So, the Government can reap these benefits of cloud computing in e-governance and can deliver services to the citizens in a far better, efficient and cost- effective way. This paper presents an overview of the e-governance, cloud computing, different cloud deployment models and its uses. Finally, a cloud based model for implementing cloud computing in e-governance has been suggested.
