Abstract

Fog computing introduced to fulfill the demands of real-time IoT applications which are widely scattered. As the number of IoT users increased day by day the prerequisites for establishing and maintaining such a huge network is also rapidly increasing. Fog computing brings a solution for high latency in service delivery, inappropriate usage of resources and non-uniform environment. As cloud services are much closer to the IoT devices by introducing the fog layer. With the widely growing network fog also suffers from various issues and challenges of latency, resource utilization and the challenges due to security are becoming more prevalent than the past. This paper discusses the advantages of introducing autonomic computing in fog layer and number of research publication are studied on autonomic cloud computing which resolves the issue of satisfying the QoS parameters efficiently. Thus a concept was proposed to introduce the autonomic elements in fog devices to strengthens its computing and motivates towards the sustainable and reliable fog computing which satisfy the QoS parameters to some extent.
