Abstract

This project aimed to create and improve the resources to study genetic disorders. As of now, we don’t have a proper platform where we can study them, though a high number of people are directly or indirectly affected by them. We created a website which is easy to use by general public and is written and explained briefly to explain enough to any person irrespective of their academic background so that they can be benefitted. This site enables the users to choose the disorder to study based on the visual symptoms. We used HTML/CSS along with JavaScript to create a basic yet useful website which is probably the first of it’s kind to hold all sorts of information in an adequate amount so that people can actually make use of it rather than being intimidated by the excessive knowledge at a go. An interactive and pictorial UI make it easier to relate and understand what exactly the text means. This is also much faster as compared to other websites where users need to know the name of the disease in order to identify. The use of Bootstrap means that the code is shorter than what it could be otherwise and that makes it easier to edit and design.
