Abstract
The aim of this study was to create an understanding of Knowledge and Skills importance, theories and concepts. Different online journals, articles and research papers worldwide, were collected for studying and research as a qualitative study to explore the importance, theories and concepts of knowledge and skills as well as individuals abilities.
It has been found that, knowledge and skills are most important ingredients for the business success, because of its nature of investing in people as the primary source of business success. Knowledge and skills are associated with business performance, management and operations. But, also knowledge and skills positively or negatively affect personal characteristics, customer satisfaction and quality of service delivery.
Different researchers and philosopher argued and compared knowledge and skills importances, theories, definitions and acquisition methods. But, they varies from time to time, from one researcher and philosopher to another. And this is because of the changes which happen within an organization, such as technological changes, world economical changes as well as human resources being volatile to these changes.
This paper concluded that, the lack of knowledge and skills, can be a serious problem to an individual’s perceptions and understanding. And it may cause serious damages and challenges for the organization to perform its operations in achieving its intended goals and objectives. And in order to prevent this damage, identified key-questions shall be answered by business owners, managers as well as individuals (professionals and un-professionals).
