Abstract

The concerns about clean environment, high oil prices, and stringent emission norms are the driving forces for the research on internal combustion engines. Direct injection diesel engines are popular due to its compactness, low fuel consumption and low emission levels. Here, the optimization is done by mathematically by using various statistical methods.
