This paper argues that to improve human capital development in organizations requires a scientific general theory of psychology. None existed prior to 2014.
Consequently since ‘HR’ developed as an organizational discipline from the Hawthorne experiments of the 1920s, it has only been subject to ‘normal’, incremental innovation and while this has delivered some gains it has failed to deliver the gains implicit in human potential.
This paper must be read within the spiritual model of humanity, and as an extension of that model in application to understandings how to link human potential to organizational results.
