Abstract

This ethnographically-informed chapter summarizes some of the systemic challenges in the portion of the Qatar justice system that's configured to address and adjudicate migrants' problems. The analysis focuses on the role of language and translation in that justice system; on the limits of migrants' mobility in the urban landscape of the city; and on the long timelines to justice that characterize their experiences in the justice system.
