Abstract

This paper analyzes information on all listed nonrental residential properties within a 15-mile radius of downtown Boston from 1998 to 2007. It shows that a higher commission is associated with a higher likelihood of sale, a modest impact on the days on the market and overall no effect on
the sales price.
