Abstract

The volume under review analyses the constitutional experiences of five South Asian nations: Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. This review seeks to summarise the contents of the book while engaging critically with the claims asserted by the editors and individual authors. In doing so, I express sceptimism whether the concept of 'unstable constitutionalism' is the best way to understand the constitutional experience of South Asian nations. On the whole, however, I consider the volume to be an important addition to the small body of work on South Asian constitutionalism.
