Abstract

English Abstract: The author, after an introductory examination of mediation in Danish law, discusses a draft for a statute on mediation proposed by the Danish Institute of Arbitration. The author finds it appropriate with a statute on mediation in accordance with this proposal, because such a statute would create fundamental rules ensuring the independence and impartiality of the mediator, confidentiality of the mediation and possible enforcement of settlements.
