Abstract
The hearing on September 29, 2015 before the Subcommittee on Regulatory Reform, Commercial and Antitrust Law of the Committee on the Judiciary of the U.S. House of Representatives served as a public and transparent platform for those who believed the deal between health insurance companies Aetna and Humana, and Anthem and Cigna would benefit consumers and those who believed the merger would negatively impact competition within the health insurance marketplace.
