Gender Accounting and Accountability

Abstract
Gender Accounting and Accountability is a term that encapsulates a myriad of impacting and powerful elements including the following: Gender reporting and transparency, Gender related organisational policy and its impact, gender communications through multiple mediums- motivations behind them and their impacts, as well as gender accountabilities which are important to promote on behalf of governments, business and organisations.
Multiple entities need to be held responsible for not only policy implementation to promote gender equality and diversity but also for the purpose of implementing measures to hinder occurrences of gender inequalities, abuse, gendered based violence and exploitation. Gender statistics play a critical role in undertaking measures for improvements regarding gender equality, diversity, empowerment and to implement gender related accountabilities. ICT can serve as a powerful tool to promote gender accounting and accountability agenda.
