Abstract

One of the questions which are not conclusively answered by the current international law of the sea is the legality of military exercises in the Exclusive Economic Zone of another country. Using a 2018 exercise in the Baltic Sea and an example, the article aims to shed light on this issue, looking also at potential implications for the Arctic region.
