The article highlights the cognitive and pragmatic impact of the Peronism ideology on the discourse of the Spanish party Podemos. Political communication of Podemos, combining the theory and practices of neo-Marxism, poststructuralism and postmodernism, in a discursive way synthesizes the experience of Latin American populist regimes in general, as well as Peronist and Kirchnerism movements in Argentina, in particular. Podemos ideologists recognize the effectiveness of the Peronist communication strategy, applying some of its elements, though in an adapted form, in current Spanish political discourse.
The article demonstrates that the party Podemos uses the experience of the Peronists in reconciling social contradictions and restoring historical memory, referring to similar postdictatorship conditions. Finally, the present research establishes the proximity of the cognitive and pragmatic attitudes in discourses of modern kirchnerists and Podemos. The material for the discourse analysis constitute the party's programs, leaders' statements and interviews in the media and social networks.
