Abstract

Every college library should protect their resources from any kind of risk hazards following proper risk management planning, preparedness and techniques. There are various types of risk factors, which are needed to be managed in any way. This write-up deals with the collection of college libraries, various types of risk factors, necessity of risk management, phases of risk management, a small sketch on ‘risk management system’ of Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata and a few words on suggestive measures to cope up with the situation.
