Abstract

Rich is becoming richer, the poor is becoming poorer. In order to increase the quality of living of poor, the Government of India is making many plans and introducing schemes from first five year plan. Food, clothing and shelter are the basic needs of a human being. This article discusses about the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) schemes benefits, the other schemes that are linked to PMAY, number of houses constructed and the expenditures incurred during the last ten years in developing the infrastructure facility.
