Abstract
This is the author original version of a paper comparing recent trends in the U.S. law of personal jurisdiction to those in other countries, especially Europe and Asia. It observes that although U.S. law is moving in some ways more compatible with trends in other countries, U.S. law is also moving in different directions. It concludes that large-scale convergence between the U.S. and other countries remains unlikely.
