Abstract

The lack of awareness and knowledge about a critical disease, may often delayed in diagnosis. AI enabled Decision Support Systems (DSS) can provide rapid growth in the diagnosis of such critical diseases by providing differential support to physicians and work as second opinion for the patients as well. DSS trained with medical knowledges and cases, can lead to a real transformation in healthcare monitoring. But sometimes these systems remain underutilized or failed to be utilized at all. In this paper authors present the impact of AI’s capabilities on Decision Support Systems, in disease diagnosis or disease prediction.
