Abstract
Objective: The main objective of the study is to compare the effect of dynamic stretching on vertical jump performance in recreational athletes and normal collegiate students.
Study Design: This study is Comparative observational study, all the subject where selected by random selection sampling method.
Method: A total of 50 subjects was considered which was assigned into 2 groups (25 each) Both the groups were asked to perform the general warm-up of 10 minutes jog which was followed by a vertical jump test. Then a demonstration of dynamic stretching was given to the subjects and was asked to perform the following exercises.
Result: The readings of Pre and Post result of vertical jump test were used to compare the significant difference measured after performing dynamic stretchings.
Conclusion: then the jump height of recreational athletes is higher than the collegiate students.
