Abstract

This application concept paper looks at extending the Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities especially the Image recognition and Natural language processing (NLP) abilities to develop smart refrigerators for budget homes primarily intending to arrest food wastage. This paper has two parts, first chapter focuses on AI image recognition and quantification approach. Second chapter utilizes Natural language processing to process the instructions and save them as an inventory record.

Our experiments have led to below findings:
• Application of AI can be extended beyond today's self-ordering units.
• Hybrid approach of Image and voice recognition can help in practical applications in quantitative manner
