Abstract
In response to COVID-19 pandemic in Spain, the government imposed a compulsory six-weeks lockdown. Children of two-parents families were not permitted to leave their homes. This paper presents a theoretical framework explaining such public policy and discusses the potential health threats of a prolonged stay indoors for children living in multifamily buildings.
