Abstract
Towards the end of 2019, emergence of a Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome in China called COVID-19 has created International Public Emergency and caused a worldwide outbreak. The COVID-19 influence is continuously increasing despite global containment and quarantine efforts. This study shows the updated number of confirmed cases along with death rates globally (as of 26 March 2020). It also presents the current scenario and status in India. Additionally, it discusses the challenges and containment measures adopted by India to restrict the spread of COVID-19 virus like ‘Janta Curfew’. This study also presents the remedy action to be adopted against impact of coronavirus on mental health.
