Abstract

In this paper, we design and simulate implantable Planer inverted F antennas (PIFA) for WMTS (1395-1400 MHz) band using HFSS. The volume of antenna is 16×20×0.4 mm3. The antenna design is tested for implant application using one layer phantom model. The structure shows the resonant frequency of 1404 MHz in simulation and 1396 MHz in phantom model measurement. The gain of -12dB is obtained with -14.8 dB radiation efficiency. Bandwidth of 13MHz is achieved. This design is having the capability to work with Implantable devices.
