Abstract

IoT is used for a plethora of applications in the security and surveillance industry. The paper proposes a low cost intruder system which uses a combination of sensors and a microcontroller. The AVR atmega 8A has been used as the central processing unit and a GSM module will be used for effective communication with the application. The system has been designed in a modular manner which makes it flexible so that it can be integrated to any of the already existing infrastructure available for security. The simplicity of the device makes it ideal to scale up as per the users requirements. The advantages of this system is that it is easy to set up and has low maintenance.
