Abstract

Following Einstein, a general theory of psychology must offer full causal explanation of all characteristics, qualities and outputs of humanity. To be a scientific theory it must pass the strategic science standard of intellectual quality, offer higher verisimilitude than competing theories and meet the reflexive criteria. If not, then it fails the quality tests and explanatory breadth required for it to be a general scientific theory of psychology.

After Thomas Kuhn, the core theory referred is the dualist paradigm, the application of the theory the normal science derived by application of the paradigm, the full intellectual position referred to as the spiritual model of humanity, the only science of people ever produced offering a causal scientific dualist understanding, mind and brain separate, able to be applied to account for all characteristics, qualities and outputs of humanity.

All scientific understanding must bear to its object exactly as scientific understanding of a pendulum must bear to an actual pendulum, with both bearing to its object as a detail of how all knowledge must bear to the object of that knowledge. Knowledge is created by people. All ideas are knowledge. It follows, the understanding of ideas can only be via a general theory of psychology. Truth is an idea, an output of humanity and thus can only be understood from within a scientific general theory of psychology explaining all characteristics, qualities and outputs of humanity.

This paper offers a complete scientific and spiritual explanation of truth.
