Abstract
The aim of the present study was evaluated the Physico - Chemical analysis of reservoir water of Aaji – 1, Aaji -2, Nyari – 1 and Nyari - 2 reservoir, located at Rajkot, Gujarat, India. The physico-chemical parameters such as pH, Temperature, Conductivity, Dissolvedoxygen, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Total hardness, Calcium and Magnesium were analyzed in different seasons. The results obtained from the physicochemical study of Aaji and Nyari – 1 reservoir indicates that dam water is useful for drinking, whilst Aaji and Nyari - 2 reservoir indicates that the reservior water is useful for irrigation purpose. Some parameters showed higher values than the prescribed standard values. The water is use for drinking purpose it should be processed prior to the drink it.
