Abstract
In the pre-COVID 19 days, there was a time when food quality and taste used to be the paramount condition for success in the food business. Although lot of chain restaurants would have cleaning protocols in place, it was the stand-alone eateries that would often cut corners, when it came to cleaning routines. Things have changed in the post COVID world. As of now while the restaurants are closed and trying to stay afloat with minimalistic deliveries, Delivery companies and chains are coming up with innovative ideas like zero contact delivery and minimum contact dining.
While all this looks promising, the road ahead is rather tough for the industry, till there is a real cure found for the disease. This paper will study what delivery chains are planning in the post COVID world and while it may look promising still poses a great risk, in term of infection transfer or just failing to deliver a gratifying experience for the customer. This paper will look at what different things various chains and hotels are trying to make their outlets and experience COVID free and what may be the hurdles that need to be over come in doing so.
