Indexing is vital to the reputation, reach, and consequently impacts of journal articles. Many scholars prioritize referencing and submitting to journals that are included in leading indexes, because indexing is a marker of journal quality. A journal is a scholarly publication which contains articles that are written by researchers, professors and other experts. Journals focus on a specific discipline or field of study. In order to be more authoritative and information specific the journals need to be indexed. Indexed journals make a hallmark of its quality. Being indexed makes it more accessible to a wider audience. The journal if gets indexed in a known database increases the journals readership and gives a reliable source of high quality information according to each domain. An indexed journal it seems that it is indexed in various databases discipline wise that helps in research process for articles to get published which gets more accessibility. This article is a guideline to academicians, researchers, students and also professionals in the field of article publishing to know the facts of indexing, its parameters and need of publishing in indexed journals.
