Abstract

This article analyses how presidential election results affect nonprofit donations. Nonprofits are categorized as either liberal, neutral, or conservative to allow further analysis based on ideology of donor base. The discovery of a dramatic correlation between election results and partisan nonprofit donations help better inform nonprofits regarding fiscal planning, targeted rage donating efforts, emotional appeals, and exaggerated claims of the consequences of elections.
