The authors consider actual issues of fighting drug crime from the viewpoint of implementing the norms of international law into national legal system and implementation of its provisions on the example of the Russian Federation. The normative basis of the research work is formed by the acts of international law ratified by Russia and acts issued in their implementation by legislative and executive authorities of the Russian Federation. The empirical base is represented by official statistical data reflecting the dynamics of drug crime in our country. The relevance of the stated topic is beyond doubt due to the prevalence of drug crimes both within the country and abroad - in this regard, the author proves the need to integrate the efforts of member countries of the international community in the fight against drug trafficking, including through the creation of detailed legal regulation of the legal regime of drug trafficking and the development of a mechanism of preventive and punitive measures against those who commit or facilitate drug crimes. The authors describe the experience of the Russian Federation in combating drug-related crime and analyses its results and prospects for development.
