Abstract

Ethical capital has been unseen yet the most disruptive, hence the discussion is crucially warranted. It is different from other forms of human capitals because it belongs to the economic field and not merely measured in terms of personal or institutional accumulation. Unlike the other forms of softer capitals, ontologically ethical capital is subtractive and pursues potentials and novelties. The argument proceeds to critique the forms of human capitals and explains how ethical capital is different from the rest of the tacit forms of capitals. The paper opens up discussions on accounting the capital for meaningful investments in ethical capital.

Keywords: human capital, social capital, ethical capital, habitus-praxis, field economics
