Abstract

Production Stabilization /Optimization of a Phosphoric Acid Plant operating with either DH or HH or HDH Process can be a real challenge when operating with Low Grade Rock Phosphate. Globally, Plant operators have come a long way to improve the production levels, raw material efficiency and product quality by processing Low Grade Phosphate Rocks in Phosphoric Acid Plant. The high cost and changing quality of inputs such as Phosphate Rock apply tremendous pressure on Phosphoric acid plant operators to maintain high production performance.

A systematic methodology shall be adopted which includes various activities such as Plant Audit, Plant Simulation, Process Design and Laboratory Pilot Testing etc. to improve the Plant Production as well to optimize the Process Parameters.

Based on TechnipFMC’s experience, the recommended Methodology for Production Stabilization/Optimization of a typical Phosphoric Acid Plant (applicable for all wet processes) is presented in this Paper. This Methodology is applied by TechnipFMC for all DH, HH and HDH processes.
