An Unprecedented Footprint of COVID-19 on Eye Health

Abstract

It is by-far known that COVID-19 has affected all the aspects of life but it is lesser known that it has also an unprecedented effect on overall eye health. Many studies have shown that COVID-19 also affects the eye and clinical symptoms like conjunctivitis, anterior uveitis, retinitis, and optic neuritis has been found in the patient but it still needs to be studied more. The virus has not only affected the eye directly but also impacted it with the challenges that have been imposed by the lockdown. Isolation has been cautious by restricting own self in digital systems, it is the bigger consequence of COVID-19 as it has affected people all over the globe. In this article, we will study the effect of the digital system on eye health and it is found that longer use of the digital system causes serious eye health problems.
