Abstract

To paraphrase Edward Said, I am away from home, yet not away from home. I regret not being at home, yet, I enjoy the privileges and the riches exile has afforded me over the years. I am a transnational, belonging firmly to a diasporic consciousness pervading globally within the wider Sri Lankan diaspora. I have no conceivable ethnicity; I am of Indo-Aryan genealogical heritage and my progeny will be citizens of the world.
