Human Rights and Vulnerable Groups (Presentation Slides)

Abstract

The presentation provides a basic understanding of the concept of vulnerability and vulnerable groups in human rights law. .It covers an introduction to some of the measures undertaken at international level towards protecting /addressing human rights concerns of vulnerable groups. It further sheds light on the specific steps taken in Indian law in the context of two specific vulnerable groups, women and older persons. In conclusion, it brings forth questions on the concept of vulnerability in light of changing social, cultural and political circumstances of vulnerable groups.
