Abstract

This collection of integrated essays trace a number of key concepts: the differentiation of the “complex” from the “merely complicated”, the formation of the “knowledge cycle” from data to information to understanding to knowledge and finally to wisdom and, above all, knowing that asking the right question is as important as finding the answer. It traces a journey in complexity science in the hopes that lessons learned along the way have a universal appeal and utility. This is a work in progress and is not yet finished.

Keywords: complexity, wisdom, knowledge cycle, organizational culture
