Mimesis

Abstract

German Abstract Dieser kurze Beitrag umreißt den anthropologischen Begriff der Mimesis. Er geht dabei auf mimetisches Handeln in der sozialen Welt und auf Mimesis in der qualitativen Forschung ein, wobei jeweils auf die wichtigste Literatur verwiesen wird.

English Abstract This brief note attempts a definition of the anthropological concept of mimesis. Citing the most relevant literature, it considers mimetic behaviour in the social world and mimesis in qualitative research.
