Abstract

The presentation takes into account the nature and scope of the right to development. It also highlights how the right has been translated into specific concepts, agendas and strategies by individual states and the international community. Based on reports of the Special Rapporteur , challenges such as politicization, lack of engagement and adverse global trends have been discussed.
