Abstract
Power Quality issues are considered as one of the major drawbacks observed in Power Systems. Maintaining quality power within constraints is one of the major challenges faced by system operators. It is caused majorly due to switching operations of power electronic devices, faults. Faults can be symmetrical and asymmetrical. In this paper power quality issue is created by considering a symmetrical fault in the test system and it is mitigated by using the custom power device (DVR). Moreover, in this paper voltage sag is created and bought within voltage limits using DVR.
