Abstract

Recently, the accessibility of advanced and better image processing and computer vision has increased to explore and experiment with them to solve real-world complex issues aimed at alleviating our daily lifestyle and comfort. In this research, color distinction based approach is considered to achieve the simulation of mouse movements using hand gestures. The method uses the already in-built webcam of a system and hence is very cost-effective. The method provides features like cursor navigation, scrolling, zooming, and panning.
