Abstract

Around the globe landslide or mudslide is the most geological hazard that is caused nowadays. Thus the soil in the hill slopes may cause slide when there is a movement in the tectonic plates at the earth crust. It leads to the movement of topsoil from the hill slope. It causes damage to human beings and human-made resources. To detect the landslide occurrence using sensor columns which are deployed in hills slope the early signals by the GSM module. Around the world, landslide and mudslide are the critical geological dangers that influence humans and other human-made resources every year. The ARM Cortex M3 microcontroller hardware is advantageous and low power dissipation. The soil moisture value and the stiffness of the soil can be determined. But this method uses the WSN sensors are minimal price and less power consumption. The soil pressure sensor can measure the soil moisture and the stiffness of the soil could be determined. Where previously the existing systems use satellite image sensing technology or a camera-based image sensing. But these approaches are not the cheapest for processing.
