Abstract

In March 2020 the EU announced it should be climate neutral by 2050. Regulations will be necessary to achieve this goal but private parties could and should also take responsibility. Plastic is a big problem all over the world, and public and private parties outside the EU, try in partnerships to find solutions to handle, reduce and reuse plastic. The EU would benefit learning from these partnerships and work towards Public-Private Partnerships for the purpose of achieving their ambitious climate goals.
