Abstract

VeRoViz is an open-source vehicle routing visualization package, consisting of both Python and web-based components. It was developed to streamline the workflow for vehicle routing researchers by simplifying and automating many of the tedious tasks associated with generating realistic test problems. VeRoViz also provides new functionality to produce customizable visualizations of complex vehicle routing problems. These visualization tools -- including Gantt charts, static maps, and dynamic 3D videos -- assist researchers in validating models and communicating results. Additionally, a comprehensive collection of utility functions within VeRoViz provide researchers with useful tools to assess features of their problems. This paper provides an overview of VeRoViz and highlights the flexibility and ease-of-use of the toolkit.
