Abstract

This note describes a collection of teaching materials on financial crises and a semester-length course design based on these materials. The collection includes case studies and teaching notes for the instructor on 23 financial crises. Also, the collection includes six technical notes that support conceptual content in the cases. These cases are set in the U.S., Britain, France, Germany and the USSR. All of the cases place the student in the shoes of one or more protagonists and at a point where the student must analyze the issues, make a decision, and recommend action.
