Abstract
Philosophy as a forerunner of science has been in coordination with the rights in terms of the concept of time. Throughout periods, philosophers have shared different views on rights, regarding how they were born, what rights are, what are the relations of morality with rights, etc. Philosophers as individuals as well as philosophical schools have approached the issue of rights from different viewpoints and consequently, they have drawn different conclusions.
The aim of this paper is to provide a retrospective overview of philosophical concepts and attitudes regarding the rights throughout periods of time. This includes philosophical concepts, historical elements and various political flows that influenced the conception of rights. We hope that researchers from these fields, students and individuals who are interested will find useful material on this paper.
