Abstract

Consumer financial markets do not always operate efficiently and fairly. Well-designed regulations can help enhance market efficiency and fairness without imposing undue burdens. Such regulations benefit consumers, responsible firms, and society more broadly. This report is a step in an effort to collect and evaluate information on the benefits, costs, and impacts of regulations.
