Abstract
Critics claim that the APPG British Muslims definition of Islamophobia could threaten freedom of expression rights. However, the definition is narrower than those found in the political discourse over the past two decades. This is likely to reduce the 'chill' on legitimate expression and thus expand the space for free speech.
