Currently, many women in Kazakhstan suffer from domestic violence, some of them die at the hands of their partners, but only 7% of the victims go to the police. Under the influence of a large number of factors, many cases of domestic violence remain without due attention, and the perpetrators go unpunished. This study aims to draw the attention of society to the scale of this problem and to identify the factors that aggravate the situation. In particular, this work is aimed at studying how society affects the impunity of such cases.

To test the hypothesis that Kazakhstan's society influences the impunity of domestic violence cases, several people were interviewed. Respondents can be divided into two groups: men and women. The results fully confirmed my hypothesis: society in its various forms affects both the perception of victims and the impunity of rapists.

These results indicate that despite the fact that the government is taking various measures to reduce the number of cases of domestic violence, the main cause, that is, the influence of society, is still not worked out.
