Abstract

One outcome was taking legal action against the Constitutional Court, successfully at that, whereas law courts reacted by submitting a cascade of preliminary questions to the Court of Justice of the European Union, in reply to decisions delivered by the Constitutional Court. On the docket of the European Court of Human Rights, in case Kövesi vs. Romania, the effects of a Constitutional Court decision were assessed in terms of compliance, in that case, with the European Convention on Human Rights.

Keywords: Constitutional Court; judges; European Union
