Abstract

The present study aims to find out the relationship between emotional stability, workplace spirituality and occupational stress among college teachers. For this study, 50 college teachers working in a self-financing private college in Delhi were selected. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the respondents. Structured questionnaires were used to collect responses using emotional stability scale, spiritual competence scale and occupational stress scale. The data was analyzed using correlation and regression method with one-group design to obtain the results. All the variables under study were found to be significantly related. The results reveal that personality characteristics such as emotional stability and workplace spirituality negatively predict occupational stress and thus could help in alleviating occupational stress among college teachers.
